Verdugo Got Loose
Dad forgot to latch Verdugo's door shut and a strong wind came up and the door blew open and Verdugo got away. So we went looking for him and we couldn't find him. So the next morning Dad went out looking for him and couldn't find him. So we figured an owl got him. But we were still watching out for him just in case. Dad told his friend (Joe Terry) that Verdugo was gone and he said that we should putt the training balloon up. So Dad tied some food to the balloon and let it go up about 5,000 feet and then started to lower it. Then all of the sodden Dad heard a screaming sound! He looked up and there was Verdugo trying to get the bait. We got him to come down to the lure and got him back. We are very happy! :)

Garrett,
I love your blog! I teach business communication at BYU and I have my students start a blog and write it in every week so they can improve their writing skills. I'm glad you have already started yours. Your Dad is a great falconer and a heck of a nice guy. Be nice to him! I saw Dakota the day she got trapped down here in Utah. She was beautiful. I'm so glad she was returned to you. Keep writing in your blog (Even when it feels like no one is reading it!) Take care, Shayne Clarke
